Harrison Road Project Completed

Lenoir City recently completed a
project containing sizeable improvements
to Harrison Road. Cannon & Cannon,
Inc. (CCI) provided field surveying, civil
engineering, and construction engineering
inspection services for the roadway,
signalization, lighting, utility relocation,
drainage and pedestrian improvements.
CCI worked closely with the city, Lenoir
City school board and the public to provide
the best solution for the community. They
also provided engineering inspections
during construction.

During the environmental permitting
process, it was determined that two
natural resources were adjacent and
crossing the roadway intersection. These
resources included adjacent wetlands,
aquatic vegetation and endangered
species.

The proposed roadway improvements
included “enhanced” environmental
roadside swales to assist in the relocation
of the adjacent natural resources.
