      Sevier County Utility District has been the natural gas provider to residents and businesses in
      Sevier and Eastern Blount County since 1955. They pride themselves on providing the best option

      the daily functions of SCUD. Among these employees are Dean Livesay, Construction Supervisor;
      Kevin Ford, Facilities Manager; DJ Ball, Main Line Tech; Kasey Dykes, Service Line Tech; and Jeff
      Taggart, Main Line Crew Leader, pictured above. They cover 710 miles of natural gas pipelines,
      excluding service lines, and serve more than 15,000 customers. Some of their most recent
      significant projects include extending the 8” PE gas line for the I40 Industrial Park and the various
      expansions happening at Dollywood.

      Their Cat  fleet consists of a 914M wheel loader for their yard and a 306 excavator for water
               ®
      mains service and emergency leak repairs. Sevier County Utility District has recently chosen Cat
      equipment because of the dependability and quality of their local Cat dealer. Kevin Ford, Facilities
      Manager for SCUD, spoke highly of the support they receive from their dealer. Ford stated, “We try
      to demo all models of equipment for the crews; we listen to their feedback in making our choices
      as to what equipment is needed job specific.” He emphasized the excellent assistance given in
      selecting the proper size of equipment for their jobs and the dealer’s helpful demos and onsite
      training. SCUD is pleased with its Cat equipment thus far and the dependability of its local dealer
      network.
