Right Prices...Right Turn Around Time

The Houston County Highway Department is responsible for managing and maintaining the Tennessee
county’s 320-plus miles of roadways. The Department’s equipment fleet is entirely made up of Cat
®

The Highway Department is located in the city of Erin, county seat of Houston County. The county,
covers 207 square miles in the northern part of Tennessee. Highway Superintendent Teresa Alsobrooks
began her career with the department 12 years ago and is currently managing a 17-person team.

During Alsobrooks’ time with the Houston County Highway Department, she has consistently worked
with her Sales Rep, David Boone. Throughout this time, Alsobrooks has not only formed a strong
relationship with her Local Cat Dealer, but also with Boone himself. When asked about Boone,
Alsobrooks says, “David is always super responsive. You can tell he cares, and he wants to make sure
that we get the right prices and the right turn around time.”

The Department recently purchased a Cat 320 Excavator, and they have a Cat 306 Mini Excavator on
the way. These new additions to the fleet have already helped to improve job site efficiency. According
to Alsobrooks, her team has been able to accomplish projects in record time with the help of their new
Cat 320 Excavator, and they look forward to getting the 306 Mini Excavator out in the field soon.

Says Alsobrooks, “When it comes to a Cat machine, it is always one step ahead and then it is even
more. The best word to describe a Cat machine is reliability.”
