The Cookeville Department of Water Quality Control provides a premium supply of water to over
14,675 customers in the city of Cookeville and surrounding areas. The team is committed to collecting
and treating wastewater, to then return it to the rivers in a safe and effective way.

Dustin Stanton has worked in the water quality control department for the city of Cookeville for 13 Permit No. 592 Pontiac, IL PAID US Postage PRSRT STD
years and serves as a fleet maintenance technician as well as an inventory control clerk for the
department. He has been using Cat machines since he can remember, and for the past 3 years, he

Dustin relates the importance of Cat machines to help his department get the job done, “The city had
a water project where our team had to put fiber optic and electric lines in at the water treatment plant
intake and needed a trusty skid steer. There was no question we wanted to go to our local dealer.
Whenever our equipment is down, there is a tech on the site in a matter of minutes. We are also
renting Thompson Machinery’s air compressor, which we will use to bore roads with a hammerhead
mole and dig two ditches on the side of the roads to put new water lines in. This will be for any new
services, such as new businesses or new housing.”
