“Quality of Cat Equipment is Unmatched”

The City of Waverly is the county seat for Humphreys County which covers 557 square miles in the
Western part of Middle Tennessee. The City of Waverly Public Works is responsible for streets, parks,
sanitation, and many other operations that fall under the umbrella of Public Works. The Director of Permit No. 592 Pontiac, IL PAID US Postage PRSRT STD
Public Works, Corey Burkett, began his career with the department over 17 years ago.

Burkett’s relationship with Cat started years ago when the Department of Public Works bought a Cat
®
D4 Dozer. Since then, his relationship with his sales rep, David Boone, has grown. When asked about
Boone, Burkett says, “During a time of equipment shortages and supply chain issues, David Boone
was not only willing to drive to Waverly and meet face to face but also make sure we could get the
equipment we needed to continue to work after our city was affected by mass flooding.”

The department purchased a Cat Backhoe and Cat Mini Excavator to help with cleanup and
maintenance after the flooding. Since adding these machines to the fleet, Burkett’s team has been able
to assist the Water and Street Departments in not only cleaning storm damage but also maintaining
the integrity of the city.

“The quality of Cat equipment is unmatched. Our machines are reliable and if we ever have a question
or issue, David or our local service department is quick to help” says Burkett. The City of Waverly
Public Works looks forward to continuing their relationship with Boone and the local dealer teams as
they build their fleet.
