Annual Community Helpers Day Fun

Recently, the City of Alcoa Public
Works participated in Community
Helpers Day at the City of Alcoa
Elementary School, 1200 Springbrook
Road, Alcoa.
The students, who comprise Pre-K
through Second Grade, were interested
in meeting our department’s workers,
as well as seeing and hands-on touching
various pieces of equipment we use to
do our jobs. The majority of the annual
Community Helpers Day activities were
held in the Pre-K Pod area, but for our
portion of the day, we gathered outside
in the parking lot to showcase our large
pieces of equipment.
We enjoyed our visit to the home of
the Tornadoes!
