Spotlight on CMI Equipment Sales
Celebrating 40 Years of Outstanding Service
This year, CMI Equipment Sales Inc.,
headquartered in Goodlettsville, marks
four decades of exceptional customer
service and sales. Known across
Tennessee for its outstanding level of
knowledge and expertise, CMI’s leaders
say they’re proud of being “someone you
can trust with your equipment needs.”
And what’s the “secret sauce” that’s
kept CMI going strong for forty years?
Company leaders say it’s a strong multi-
pronged approach to their business.
John Scott, CMI president, said he
attributes the company’s longevity
to many factors, but especially to its
customer service.
“We believe in our customers and
ensure that they are satisfied through every step of the way,” Scott
said. Alex Austin, Chief Financial Officer, agreed, saying that a
strong relationship with their customers is due largely to “our
people.”
“We have decades of experience at CMI between our service,
parts and sales team. Without them, we could not be here today,”
Austin said.
Building those relationships can take time and trust, but CMI
has found innovative ways to make it happen across Tennessee.
For example, it’s formed close bonds with APWA and TCAPWA
and the work it does statewide.
“The hard work that Public Works gives to the community
makes us want to support them in any way we can,” Scott said.
“As a person outside of the industry, you don’t really think about
what goes into Public Works.” He said CMI values its support of
