           Memphis, the legendary home of blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll,
         recently was named to Conde Nast Traveler’s 23 Best Places to
         Go in 2023. 
           And our 2025 TCAPWA/SWANA Annual Conference is
         going there Sept. 22-24.
           Hosted by Germantown this year, we’re in a new hotel venue,
         the Memphis Hilton & Conference Center, 939 Ridge Lake
         Blvd., Memphis. Here’s a quick rundown of the agenda, packed
         with events, education and fun.

         MONDAY
           Monday’s activities kick off early with the Golf Open’s 10
         a.m. Shotgun Start at Memphis National Golf Club, 10135
         National Club, Collierville. Lunch is provided. Later that
         afternoon at 2 p.m., the Germantown folks will host a free
         tour of its Public Works facilities (bus provided from the
         Memphis Hilton), culminating in a site tour of the Bo Mills
         Water Tower.
         TUESDAY
           Time to Rodeo! The annual Equipment Rodeo begins with
         practice and registration at 9 a.m. at Agricenter International,
         7777 Walnut Grove Road. After 11 a.m. lunch, the always-
         competitive events start at noon. The Exhibition Hall opens                         Beale neon 3 – Craig Thompson
         at 4 pm. with the Rodeo Awards Ceremony and Host Branch
         Reception at 5 p.m. Later, from 7-9 p.m., our annual YP event
         will be at TOPGOLF, 3450 S. Germantown Road, Memphis
         ($20 each person).
         WEDNESDAY
           It’s a packed day starting with the vendor breakfast and
         chapter meeting at 8 a.m. The Exhibition Hall is open 8:30
         a.m.-1:30 p.m. Educational and technical sessions are at 9 a.m.,
         10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in breakout rooms near the
         Exhibition Hall.
           Our luncheon and TCAPWA Awards Ceremony are at
         11:30 a.m. Later that evening from 7 p.m.-11 p.m., we’ve
         got the Closing Party and Dinner at Lafayette Music Room,                      Sun Studio | Sean Fisher_Mr. Bootstraps
         2119 Madison Ave., in Overton Square, Memphis ($30 each,
         reservations needed.)
           The Music Room venue hosts live acts playing everything
         from rock ‘n roll to jazz to blues and everything in between. Its
         kitchen features a variety of southern-inspired offerings, such
         as shrimp and grits, wood-fired pizzas and made-from-scratch
         desserts. And here’s a fun fact: Lafayette’s played a significant
         role in launching the careers of such music superstars as Billy
         Joel, KISS, Big Star, Barry Manilow, J.J. Cale and Leon Russell,
         to name a few.
         Got An Extra Day? Come Early or Stay Later to Play Tourist
           Memphis is ever-changing, yet fully embraces its past. In this
         river city, you can still listen to some Memphis Blues on historic
