NOVEMBER 3-6 – LEADERSHIP & ADMINISTRATION FOR PUBLIC WORKS
Public Works Risk Management, Budgeting & Cost Accounting, Basic Purchasing Procedures & Specifications, Communication
Skills & Customer Service, Organization & Planning, Effective Delegation, Developing Employees & Work Teams, Pavement
Management, Fleet Maintenance, and Facilities Maintenance, and more.
INTENDED FOR: Public Works professionals who are already supervising staff or managing programs and are ready to deepen
their leadership, communication, budgeting, and administrative skills. This course is best suited for managers, deputy directors,
and directors who want practical, real-world training tailored to Public Works operations in Tennessee. (New or first-time
supervisors are encouraged to begin with the TPWI Basic Supervision Class before advancing into Leadership & Administration
to ensure a strong foundation in essential supervisory skills.)
Classes begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and end by noon on Friday. Location: TAUD Training Station
