           Field exercises included using
         instrumentation to run a leveling loop,
         checking elevations, and learning
         about accurately measuring distances
         and expedient methods for estimating
         distances.
           Other field exercises included learning
         the use of penetrometers and probes
         to expediently check soils for proper
         compaction and safety concerns.
           Class instructors included: Bryon
