“Snout & About” - A Howling Success
The City of Germantown’s Engineering
Department recently adopted a unique
approach to getting pets adopted…and a
dog-gone cure for “ruff days” at work.
Germantown’s Animal Shelter, which is
part of its Public Works Department, held
a “Snout & About” program this winter,
where city departments “checked out” a
shelter dog for the day to give them social
time (and a well-deserved break from the
shelter.)
The engineering group hosted Jimmy,
a lovable terrier mix who spent the day
exploring City Hall, meeting new friends
(both two- and four-legged), and even cats, ensuring they have a comfortable stay
