TCAPWA at 2019 TML Conference
Roundtable sessions, workshops, exhibit booths, an awards
ceremony and networking opportunities were on the June
agenda at the Tennessee Municipal League (TML) 80th Annual
Conference at the Memphis Convention Center.
As an affiliate organization, TCAPWA participated by hosting
an exhibit booth and coordinating a roundtable discussion.
Also, at the Tuesday TML Awards Breakfast, TCAPWA had the
opportunity to present the Murphy Snoderly Award to its yearly
recipient.
Mark Miller, TCAPWA Executive Director, Tennessee
Public Works Magazine publisher Klair Kimmey, and Houston
Daugherty with Cannon & Cannon Engineering, manned the
booth. A number of TCAPWA members in attendance dropped
by to check in, including Bill Brock, John Anderson, Wayne
Cope, Phil Pindzola, John Chlarson, and others.
The Annual Awards Breakfast featured the TML Achievement
Awards, followed by the TCAPWA Murphy Snoderly Award
presentation. John Fox, TCAPWA Vice Chairman, was proud to
present the Murphy Snoderly Award to one of Collierville’s own,
Alfred Lewis. Lewis humbly received his award to a standing
ovation.
Congratulations go to the City of Memphis for receiving the
TML Excellence in Green Leadership Award, to the City of
Collierville for the TML Excellence in Stormwater Management
Award and to the Town of Signal Mountain for the TML Small
Town Progress Award.
