           Public Works employees are the
         backbone of the City of Chattanooga.
         Every day, the men and women in this
         department repair roads, maintain
         infrastructure, manage waste services,
         keep waterways clear, respond to
         emergencies, and perform countless tasks
         that directly impact the quality of life for
         our residents.
           Their work is often early, late, difficult,
         and unseen — but always essential.
         Behind the scenes, the Administrative
         staff is committed to supporting these
         employees so they can perform their
         duties safely, efficiently, and with pride. 
           At the core of this support is the belief
         that a responsive government is the
         foundation of a thriving community.
