center has focused on the education
and mentorship of their youth as the
primary goal for the gardening program.
The program will pair approximately 45
seniors with nearly 200 summer camp
attendees for a three-part program.

  Part One focusses on gardening
classroom education, from the basics
of terminology to the fundamentals of
manual labor. Part Two transfers that
basic gardening knowledge into the
garden. Youth partnered with senior
volunteers will construct, till, seed, plant,
mulch, fertilize, water and weed the
garden.
